Quite low resolution, about the same as my Digital camera and not much cheaper.  though i'm not hanging that out the window

Yup hence i was looking at one of these or a wired one but they all seem to be about 540 lines unless you want to spend ubber money. This one actualy records to SD card 60mins on a 2gb

i found a video sample and it looked pretty good for what it was

This is the other one i was looking at but then you need a camcorder to plug it into

EDGE

that was on the gadget show last night... looked ok but looked to be worse quality than a vhs if you ask me....

you can get nicer ones for the same moeny, but they need a recorder seperately.

Yeah but the recorders cost a damn fortune

i'm guessing a web cam attached to you mac wouldn't be good enough.

my old Microsoft VX-3000 was about a tenner and shots at 640-480.

only 30fps though

you can probably get much better ones....just a thought

Yeah thats what im currently looking for, i found a usb bullet cam but its £150 and it doesnt say mac so now im looking for firewire ones.

I know i can stream live to the mac with quicktime so recording isnt a problem and i can get 4 hours of time on the battery

Yeah on the gadget show last night !

Less than a £100 and they said it's the biz

Okay have found a piece of software that will let me record multiple cameras using firewire so i think i might be picking up a cheap camcorder instead and clamping it to the car with a suction mount from titsy
