LAN Fest 2 - "The Server's Revenge"

A while ago I said about asking to Hold one of these doo-dads at my house later in the year when my mum & stepdad go on holiday.

I asked last night & I'm pretty sure it will be fine, they go away on June 17th for 2 weeks, now this 1st weekend is a show weekend (not sure which one but we'll all be at bling regardless!)

So I'm proposing "LF2" for the weekend of 24th & 25th June, & I'd imagine it would mainly be Battlefield 2 again.
What do people think?

Yeah, sounds good . . . not normally up for them in Summer but as it's local should be fine . . .

Possibly have this one as a Sat-Sun one instead of a Fri-Sun one though.

(Unless we watch some DVD's on the Friday night, then start playing on Sat morning . . . . . My brain was cooked by Sunday last time.)

I was thinking a similar thing TBH I was Bettled out by the sunday. Its a good job I didn;t have to drive home too!!!  especially as I fell asleep in the van on the way home.

I'm up for a Film night followed by a Games Day / night.

And we were kind of planing a holiday the week after billing so may not even be around.

Already spoke to him, as always he's probably up for it.

and would prefer to play something with Co-op option i.e against bots.

But who knows what we will be playing in 4 months

There's bound to be a mod for BF2 in 4 months to enable us to have bots, isn't there ?

I'd imagine so, either that or Multi Theft Auto might have sorted out the free roaming functionality

Now preparations for the summer are kicking off the Free part of "Free time" is reducing drastically...

Problem is BF2 keep releasing patches which makes creating mods difficult, they often only work with a particluar version of BF

I will try and come to this one, although the timing isn't too good for me. Will put out feelers at home, see if I get shot down or not.

Why not go retro? - Quake 2 was cool and had some excellent mods available.

Although my preference would be vanilla Q3, I was a demon on that.
