Hello everyone!

I have a little suggestion about our meets and wondered what anyone else thought. As you know, I had a little Gibson in July last year and he usually goes to bed at about 7.30 pm. (That is Alex not Jamie

)

Anyway, I know that when I started coming to the meets they were on a Monday in the evening. I was wondering how anyone felt to keeping the meet on the Sunday in the lunch/afternoon time. It could also be that we could meet perhaps twice a month (once on a Sunday during the day and once during the week at night).

This is because either I or Jamie will have to stay at home in the evening to babysit. We are already "debating" the issue at present.

Anyway, would be interested in your views?

Sunday is fine with me, not botherd either way, but twice a month would be a bit pricey for me...

I think once a month is fine for the meets IMO, However i've no objection to them staying on a Sunday Afternoon, it doesn't even clash with any show dates either.
My Monday evenings are normally spend cashing up & cleaning etc at the bar so that would have to have been re-arranged (not hard TBH!) when the meets moved.

Well in which case why not leave it on a sunday, it would mean when the lighter evenings come sunday could be extended into early evening

No Issues with keeping it on a Sunday . . . . Assuming we're not clashing with another meet somewhere ?

If we are thinking of Keeping it on Sunday - can I suggest pushing it back to say a 4.00pm meet ?

Just so we don't we don't lose a whole day (basically) to the meet and we've dodged the lunchtime rush . . . . Remember last sunday we couldn't get parked ? - Summer'll be MUCH worse !!

That sounds like a good idea actually, we could eat evening meals there instead that way

If it's on a Sunday in the Summer it will clash with another area meets and some of the shows ?
We could play about using different Sunday's each month to avoid the worst clashes but those of you without a good diary ( mine is booked well into 2007 now ) might get confused ?
It would also mean that you might have say six weeks between some meets and two between others ?
No big problem for me apart from may be missing the odd one

The show days won't be a problem, we can meet at them, esp if it's Billing.

As for other area meets - which ones, and who would be interested in going to them?

I think as we have become a family meet that it is important we try to keep a weekend meet

i'd personaly rather not - tthere is so much on at the weekends in summer as it is, by returning to mondays, we are less likely to clash with ither events..

Depending on the event, we could also make the meets 'away days'. There could even be a cruise to 'where ever' (examples would be nice), starting from the Fancott (possibly meeting others on route in the case of those in the north)

Do also bear in mind that we (Debbie, Alex and I) won't be travelling here there and everywhere every weekend, so missing a week is more of an impact to us than others.
