I had to reply before you ninja edited it in there thinking no-one would notice

I would pay £299 for A Mac Mini just because I am tight and still need a screen etc.

Furry muff.  Not a bargain then.

Just spotted it during my daily trawl through hotukdeals website.

Oh no mate, not saying it isn't, Maybe Andy could shed light on wether it is or not?

I just think that I would want the whole kit, not just the mini, so I am tight. I haven't seen one for sale for £299.... sorry, didn't mean to confuse you... it was only my opinion

HardRockCamaro

It's an old model.

You can buy the current spec, with 2.26GHz processor 2GB RAM and 160GB drive from Apple themselves via their refurb store for £439 inc vat.

Is this a bargain at £50 less, I'd say no, especially as you'd need to put at least another 1GB in it (which is a PITA).

Cunning Plan

imho....
it mot a bad price....
that mac mini will knock any pc, at a similar price into a cocked hat  [what ever that means]

but add a screen to it and its still cheaper than buying a 20'' imac and will out last a similar pc,
i bought a similar one with 2g of ram and a 320 hd for quite a bit more,
i know the ram is tricky to fit though,
there a good machine for a pc owner to upgrade with as you may well already have the screen, keboard, etc to add to the mac mini

so all in all its not such a bad price....
