FOOKING banks!!!
Right.. summit tried to put through my order..... no problem, credit card declined becuae it hadnt been used before, now someone tries to put through a $3500 transaction with me not present in foreighn parts.. fine.. summit repeatedly try to process the card as normal, this has now locked the account for 48 hours.. nothing they can do about it (the bank)
so... i call barclays, after speaking to some fukwit in the back end of bangladesh who was NO help what so ever.... i finally get given a number to find out the rate for dollars if using my card online.... ta da.......
1 point foooking 83.... you're surely haveing a giraffe.... thats 13c below trading rate... so they can fook right off... especially seeing as they want 2.75% handling on top of that....
so... i call egg... go through al thier hoops to talk to a person.... fine, exchange rate ios 1.96.. cool... but.. i need £300 more credit limit than what theyve given me... DECLINED..... WTF!!!!!! declined by a machine i might add.. i have to email and appeal it if i want to, that could get though to a HUMAN to check...

Guys,
do any of you know the details fo a good exhaust fabricator ?? I need the exhaust on the Saleen fidling with, the muflers are shot... its either this or buy an off the shelf cat back.. which I really dont want to do.. London/herts would be preferable, although MK isnt to far away

Questions and Queries / Implications of dropping from 2 1/4" to 2" exhaust diameter

Guys.. just a quikie...
what are the implications engineering and performance wise of going from 2 1/4" exhaust down to 2" for around 12" of the exhaust system...
the whole exhaust on the trofeo is 2 1/4" but i need to put something inline thats only 2", but its only about a foot long basically... so I'll have to use reducers either side of it to smooth the flow...
not ideal i know, and I KNOW I should't do it... but will it have dire consequences ?

Well... its about time i posted some pics of the daily driver I bought a few weeks ago...
Its a 1990 Oldsmobile Toronado Trofeo... yeah... I'd not heard of one either !!! Its based on the Cadillac running chassis and suspension although this Trofeo model was the "sporty" one so has a Corvette type mono transverse leaf rear suspension ! It has a 3800 series v6 up front powering te front wheels though a 4 speed auto.
It;s go all the toys you could want.. Dash mounted touch screen (which controls almost everything), 12 way power seats, electric everything, climate control (non of this aircon malarky), self leveling air suspension, automatic lights full leather interior...... the list of things to go wrong is endless
It goes suprisingly well and is quieter inside than HRCs Cadillac STS (by his own addmission). All in all... a happy bunny...
Here are a few pics:
Since I've had it I've only had to do little things, most of which are inline with a car that's not been driven in months.. check the lights, replace a few bulbs, mostly simple stuff.. Most of the bulbs turned out just to have dirty connections and work fine now
The only bits ive done so far that required any actual effort was change the rear brake pads, swap the touch screen over for another (the original was a bit iffy, worked, but wasnt perfect) and fit a new electric antenna (80's-tastic!!!)
